Karachi to Upgrade 26 Roads Under Rs 5.54 Billion KMC Project

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation has launched a major infrastructure renewal initiative to rehabilitate 26 internal roads across Karachi at a cost of approximately Rs 5.54 billion. The project covers a total road length of 68 kilometers and aims to improve road conditions, enhance traffic flow, and modernize urban infrastructure in line with the Sindh government’s city connectivity plans. According to officials, the selected roads are located across multiple districts and towns, including North Nazimabad, Liaquat Market, Jinnah Square, Khokhrapar, Mominabad, and other key urban areas. Authorities stated that the program is part of ongoing efforts to address Karachi’s deteriorating road network, reduce congestion, and improve mobility for residents, commuters, and commercial traffic throughout the metropolis.
