Karachi Plans to Transform Aladdin Park into Urban Forest

Karachi’s Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab has announced plans to convert the Aladdin Park site on Rashid Minhas Road into a green urban forest, as part of a wider city-wide environmental initiative. The transformation is intended to enhance green space, improve air quality, and provide a large recreational natural area for residents. The announcement was made during a mangrove and tree plantation campaign, where the mayor also outlined multiple eco‑friendly projects across the city. Officials stated that Aladdin Park’s redevelopment will be integrated with other biodiversity and environmental plans to promote sustainable urban living.
