Heavy rain hits Lahore and Punjab, more showers expected in next 24 hours

Lahore: Heavy rainfall has been reported across Lahore and several parts of Punjab, including Wahdat Road, Canal Road, Garhi Shahu, Jail Road, Thokar and Defence areas. The rain, accompanied by cool winds, has significantly improved weather conditions, bringing relief from heat. However, water accumulation has been observed in low-lying areas, affecting traffic flow in some parts of the city. According to weather authorities, the current spell of rain is expected to continue for the next 24 hours. Citizens have been advised to remain cautious during travel, especially in areas prone to waterlogging, as further showers and changing weather conditions may impact routine activities.
