Final-year student dies by suicide at Fatima Jinnah Medical University hostel

Lahore: A final-year student of Fatima Jinnah Medical University has died by suicide at the university hostel, police confirmed after preliminary investigation. The student, a resident of Azad Kashmir, was found after falling from the hostel rooftop. Law enforcement officials stated that evidence and inquiry findings indicate suicide, ruling out foul play. The body was shifted for post-mortem examination, and necessary legal formalities have been completed. University administration expressed grief over the tragic incident and extended condolences to the family. Authorities have urged students to seek counselling support in times of distress and assured that institutional support mechanisms will be reviewed.
