Federal Government Announces Hike in Petroleum Prices

 Ali Raza Wajid: Islamabad: The federal government has issued a notification regarding an increase in the prices of petroleum products. According to the Petroleum Division’s notification, the price of petrol and diesel has been raised by Rs 26.77 per liter. After the increase, the new price of petrol is set at Rs 393.35 per liter and the new price of diesel is Rs 380.19 per liter. The new prices will take effect from midnight tonight. Sources from the Petroleum Division also confirmed that the levy on petrol has been increased by Rs 26.77 per liter, bringing the total levy on petrol to Rs 107.38 per liter.
