Electricity Prices Reduced by Rs0.93 Per Unit Under Fuel Adjustment

The federal government has approved a reduction in electricity prices under the fuel price adjustment mechanism, providing relief to consumers across Pakistan. The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority has authorized a cut of Rs0.93 per unit based on November’s fuel price adjustment and issued a formal notification. Following the decision, power distribution companies, including Lahore Electric Supply Company, have been directed to pass on the relief to consumers. The reduction will apply to electricity units consumed in November and will be reflected clearly in upcoming bills. Officials stated that the measure aims to ease the financial burden on households and businesses amid rising living costs, while ensuring transparency by displaying the relief amount separately on electricity bills.
