Dubai Launches Dh12.8 Billion Expansion Projects at Silicon Oasis

DUBAI: Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has launched Dh12.8 billion strategic expansion projects at Dubai Silicon Oasis, strengthening its position as a hub for knowledge, innovation, and future technologies. The initiatives include the Dh11 billion District IO project, expected to host over 6,500 companies across sectors such as artificial intelligence, robotics, Web3, and smart mobility. The expansion also features Block 14, a Dh1.8 billion residential and lifestyle district aligned with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan. Officials said the projects aim to create jobs, attract foreign investment, and support research and development while promoting sustainability, smart infrastructure, and a high quality of life for residents and businesses operating in the area.
