Dubai Expands Dedicated Bus & Taxi Lanes to Ease Traffic

Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has expanded dedicated bus and taxi lanes in Dubai. According to officials, 14.5 km long dedicated lanes project has reached 30% completion. The aim is to reduce traffic congestion, make public transport faster and more efficient, and save travel time for commuters. Once completed, the network of dedicated lanes will increase from 6.1 km to 20.6 km. During rush hours, bus travel time is expected to reduce by 24 to 59 percent.
