Defence Wateen Chowk Development Project Nears Completion in Lahore

LAHORE: Development work on the key Defence Wateen Chowk project is progressing at an exceptional pace, with officials confirming that 40 to 70 percent of the project has been completed within just one and a half months. Authorities expect the project to be fully completed and opened to traffic within the next one to one and a half months. The plan includes replacing old side structures and a single layout with a modern traffic island to improve vehicle circulation. Simultaneously, major work is underway on the main boulevard between Defence Phase V and Phase VI, where service lanes are being merged and grade separation removed to widen the corridor into a modern three-lane route. Once completed, the project is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion and improve travel convenience for residents.
