DC Lahore reviews hospital and anti-dengue operations

Lahore: Deputy Commissioner Lahore Captain (R) Muhammad Ali Ijaz conducted a field visit to Shahbaz Sharif THQ Hospital and the Ladhar-Bediaan area to review healthcare and anti-dengue operations. During the visit, officials briefed him on medical facilities, cleanliness standards, medicine availability, and administrative arrangements at the hospital. The deputy commissioner directed the administration to maintain adequate medicine stocks, improve sanitation standards, and ensure equal access to quality healthcare services. He also reviewed ongoing dengue prevention activities and ordered strict surveillance of dengue hotspots, daily inspections, and immediate larva elimination measures. Authorities say the initiative is aimed at strengthening public health services and ensuring a safer urban environment. Will intensified monitoring help keep dengue cases under control in Lahore?
