CM Maryam Orders Action Against Illegal Hotels and Encroachments in Murree

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced strict action against illegal hotels and encroachments in Murree to ensure better regulation and preservation of the hill station.According to officials, the crackdown aims to curb unapproved constructions, protect public land, and improve environmental management in one of Pakistan’s most popular tourist destinations. The initiative is part of the government’s broader strategy to promote sustainable tourism, improve civic order, and enhance visitor safety.Authorities have been directed to identify violations, enforce building regulations, and take action against those operating without approval. The CM emphasized that Murree’s natural beauty and urban balance must be protected, adding that no illegal activity will be tolerated under the guise of tourism development.
