CDA Recovers 1,000+ Kanals as Development Accelerates Across Three Islamabad Sectors

Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has accelerated development work in residential sectors E-12, I-12 and C-14, focusing on roads, essential infrastructure and civic facilities. During a visit to Sector E-12 on October 16, CDA Chairman Sohail Ashraf reviewed ongoing construction activities and directed officials to speed up development work.

According to the authority, more than 1,000 kanals of state land worth billions of rupees have been recovered in Sector E-12 after a dispute that had delayed development for decades. The recovery is expected to remove a major obstacle to infrastructure construction and help the authority proceed with the sector’s planned development.

The CDA says work is also progressing in Sectors I-12 and C-14, with particular attention to road networks and essential residential services. Across Islamabad, the authority is separately undertaking road improvements, underpasses, pedestrian bridges, parks and landscaping projects to improve connectivity and public spaces.

Earlier in October, the CDA chairman expressed a six-month target for completing development in E-12, although the latest October 16 announcement did not provide a detailed completion schedule for any of the three sectors. The actual benefits for plot owners and residents will depend on completed roads, utilities, development approvals and the eventual availability of possession.
