CDA Issues Final Warning on Unapproved Construction in Zone II

The Capital Development Authority has issued a final and strict warning prohibiting any new construction or building activity along GT Road and Fateh Jhang Road in Zone II without prior approval of building plans. The directive, issued under the CDA Ordinance 1960 and Building Regulations 2020 (amended 2023), applies to all planned and unplanned developments, including private housing societies operating within the zone. CDA has also made the regularization of all existing structures mandatory. To create awareness, panaflex banners have been placed at key points to inform residents and developers about compulsory approvals and documentation. The authority warned that strict action will now follow, including sealing, demolitions, penalties, and cancellation of NOCs and utility connections. Developers and owners have been urged to immediately approach the Building Control Directorate for compliance
