CDA initiates action against 377 structures along Islamabad Expressway East

Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority has initiated action against 377 structures, including 281 commercial structures, along Islamabad Expressway East over encroachments and building violations. Its Building Control Section, Enforcement Directorate and district administration are jointly conducting sealing, regularisation and demolition operations. According to CDA, approximately Rs3 billion is recoverable in land-conversion charges and penalties linked to unauthorised construction and other building violations.
