10th Avenue Project in Islamabad Remains Stalled

The 10th Avenue project in Islamabad remains stalled despite the completion of several major road infrastructure schemes by the Capital Development Authority during 2025. The project, which was launched to ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity between key sectors of the capital, has seen little progress due to administrative, funding, and planning-related delays. Sources indicate that unresolved land acquisition issues and coordination gaps between departments have slowed execution. The prolonged delay continues to affect daily commuters and nearby residential and commercial areas. Urban planners warn that unless the project is revived soon, congestion and development imbalance may worsen in surrounding sectors, undermining the broader transport improvement efforts undertaken across Islamabad.
