The Quetta Development Authority (QDA), established in 1978 by the Government of Balochistan, is responsible for the planned development and improvement of Quetta. The authority focuses on urban planning initiatives including road development, land acquisition, and the provision of essential public amenities such as parks, gardens, and recreational spaces.
QDA plays a key role in upgrading urban infrastructure by managing water supply, sewerage systems, and redevelopment of congested areas. It also undertakes housing and development schemes, ensuring organized city expansion while facilitating rehabilitation and resettlement where required.
