The Multan Development Authority (MDA), established in 1976 under the Punjab Development of Cities Act as the successor to Multan Improvement Trust, is responsible for the planned development and regulation of Multan. With a wide jurisdiction covering key institutions and industrial areas, the authority focuses on housing schemes, urban planning, and major engineering projects to support the city’s growth.
MDA plays a central role in launching residential developments and infrastructure initiatives, delivering thousands of plots and promoting organized urban expansion. Through its structured administrative framework and skilled workforce, the authority ensures effective planning, land management, and sustainable development across the region. The Urban Development Wing of MDA is administratively divided into six following directorates.
