The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA), established under the Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976 as the successor to the Lyallpur Improvement Trust, is responsible for the planned development and regulation of Faisalabad. The authority oversees residential, commercial, and infrastructure development while ensuring compliance with building regulations and urban planning standards.
FDA plays a key role in maintaining essential urban services, including water supply, sewerage, and drainage systems, while facilitating sustainable city expansion. It also manages development planning, enforces building controls, and establishes specialized agencies to improve urban governance and service delivery. It has Two Main Wings.
