Sindh Launches Thar Desert Train Safari from Saturday

The Sindh Government has announced the launch of the Thar Desert Train Safari, starting this Saturday, with all arrangements finalized by the provincial tourism department. The safari train will depart from Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, and Umerkot, before reaching Zero Point in Tharparkar.Passengers will enjoy cultural activities including local music events in Chhor, traditional Sindhi cuisine, camping, and bonfires. On the second day, the train will return to Karachi via Pichi Ji Verry.Sindh Tourism Minister Zulfiqar Ali Shah said the initiative aims to promote Sindh’s desert tourism, improve regional connectivity, and support the local economy. Future plans include extending the route to Mohenjo-Daro and Sukkur. Ticket prices start from Rs. 30,000, offering a premium tourism experience.
