CDA Begins Citywide Road Rehabilitation and Zebra Crossing Restoration in Islamabad

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has launched a citywide rehabilitation and upgradation campaign in Islamabad, starting with the recarpeting of major roads and the restoration of zebra crossings across key routes. The initiative was reviewed in a meeting chaired by CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa, where Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza and other officials briefed the authority on ongoing progress and upcoming phases of work. According to a CDA statement, zebra crossing restoration has started along major highways, with priority given to areas near hospitals, educational institutions, and high-traffic roads. The broader effort aims to improve pedestrian safety, enhance road infrastructure, and upgrade residential and commercial sectors to ensure smoother mobility across the capital.
