The Lahore district administration, led by Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza, has launched an extensive anti-encroachment and anti–visual pollution operation under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s “Suthra Punjab” vision. Over the past 72 hours, teams have removed more than 10,000 encroachments and illegal advertisements across the city. According to official figures, 3,394 encroachments were cleared and their goods seized, while 7,148 illegal banners, posters, and promotional materials were taken down. The operation, supervised by Metropolitan Officer Regulation Kashif Jaleel, aims to clear pathways in commercial centers to improve pedestrian movement and traffic flow. DC Lahore has ordered uninterrupted enforcement, prioritizing cleanup around historical sites. Citizens may report complaints via control room number 03070002345 or social media. Vendors are being shifted to alternative locations to safeguard their livelihoods.
