LESCO has disconnected electricity to four Bahria Town Lahore housing projects after unpaid dues crossed Rs 682 million. According to LESCO CEO Muhammad Ramzan Butt, the power supply will only be restored once the full amount is cleared. The prolonged non-payment has triggered strong reactions from residents, who expressed anger and frustration over the sudden outages. Many residents announced they will stage a protest outside Bahria Town offices after Friday prayers, calling the situation unacceptable and demanding immediate resolution. LESCO officials emphasized that strict enforcement is underway as part of the company’s broader recovery drive, which targets both private developers and government departments. The authority has warned that no reconnection will take place until all outstanding arrears are fully settled.
