The Lahore district administration, led by Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza, has intensified its grand anti-encroachment operation under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. In the last 72 hours alone, teams removed 49,500 illegal banners and 1,373 encroachments across the city, restoring pathways, bazaars, and main roads. The DC said the operation will continue without interruption or discrimination until the city is completely cleared. Joint teams from the Metropolitan Corporation, PHA, and district administration carried out the crackdown, with assistant commissioners supervising actions in markets and major corridors. Authorities have also issued special orders to clear areas around heritage sites, remove illegal parking, temporary sheds, and roadside generators. Strict surveillance will prevent re-encroachments, and legal action will be taken against violators
