14 Children Lose Lives in Kahna Nau Tuition Centre Roof Collapse

Lahore: At least 14 children lost their lives and six others sustained injuries when the roof of a tuition centre collapsed in Kahna Nau area near Ferozepur Road on Tuesday. According to Rescue 1122 officials, the incident occurred when the slab of an under-construction room caved in on students who were present inside the centre at the time. The victims, aged between 7 to 15 years, were immediately shifted to hospital where doctors declared 14 children dead. Rescue teams reached the spot promptly and carried out rescue operations. The tragedy has once again highlighted serious concerns regarding building safety and construction standards in the area.
