Islamabad: Questions have surfaced regarding land-use compliance at the Islamabad Traffic Police office located on Murree Road. According to reported CDA records, notices to vacate the site were issued nearly two decades ago, while an alternative 4.20-acre plot in Sector H-11/2 was allocated for relocation. Authorities reportedly withdrew permission for the existing location in 2008 and made another allotment in 2016, yet the relocation process did not materialize. Officials maintain that continued use of the site would require federal approval for a formal change in land use. The matter remains under review and highlights broader concerns related to urban planning, land management, and regulatory compliance in the federal capital. Will the case lead to stricter enforcement of land-use regulations in Islamabad?
