UAE Consulate issues safety measures for workers during heatwave

Karachi: The Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in Karachi has issued special directives to safeguard workers amid the ongoing heatwave. Outdoor work will be suspended daily from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm to minimize risks of heat-related illnesses. Employers are instructed to provide shaded rest areas, clean drinking water, and other necessary safety measures for labourers. Officials emphasized that protecting workers is both a human and ethical responsibility. The initiative highlights the focus on worker welfare and the importance of ensuring safe working conditions during extreme weather events in the city.
