Sargodha to transform 22 villages under Model Village program

Sargodha: Under the Punjab government’s “Sohna Punjab Program,” work has begun to transform 22 villages in Sargodha into model villages during the first phase. Officials briefed that the initiative focuses on improving rural infrastructure and ensuring access to basic services. Clean water supply systems will be upgraded, while filtration plants will be installed in areas with brackish water. Drainage networks will be developed, and streets will be modernized with soling and tile installations. Each village will also feature a public park to enhance community living standards. The project, estimated at Rs2.8 billion, is expected to be completed within 10 months, aiming to significantly improve quality of life in rural areas.
