EV charging stations expanded across M-2 motorway for electric vehicle users

Pakistan: Electric vehicle infrastructure on the M-2 motorway has expanded with the installation of new EV charging stations at multiple key locations. Authorities confirmed that charging facilities are now available at Chakri, Kallar Kahar, Sial, Bhera service area, outside Bhera toll plaza, Pindi Bhattian toll plaza and near Ravi toll plaza. These stations are strategically placed to ensure accessibility from both sides of the motorway, improving convenience for EV users during long-distance travel. Officials stated that this development is part of efforts to promote electric mobility, reduce fuel dependence and support sustainable transport solutions. Experts believe that improved charging infrastructure will accelerate EV adoption and modernize Pakistan’s highway network.
