Job Description
Mindwhiz is hiring a GC Estimator with expertise in US based construction estimation for its Lahore office. The role involves preparing detailed cost estimates handling bids and coordinating with project teams for construction projects managed by a Houston based general contractor. The selected candidate will work on multiple project types ensuring accuracy cost efficiency and timely bid submissions.
Responsibilities
Prepare detailed material take offs and cost estimates based on drawings and specifications
Communicate bid details and scope with project managers contractors and subcontractors
Analyze design and constructability to identify cost effective solutions
Prepare and assemble bids and proposals for different contract types
Review tender documents and manage RFIs for accurate submissions
Coordinate with operations procurement and subcontractors
Conduct risk evaluation and develop mitigation strategies
Maintain lessons learned database for continuous improvement
Requirements
Minimum 2 years experience in US based construction estimation
Ability to handle all trades including general construction and MEP
Proficiency in PlanSwift MS Office and estimation tools
Strong communication interpersonal and time management skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
