Abu Dhabi tourism sector operating normally despite regional tensions

Abu Dhabi: The Department of Culture and Tourism confirmed that hotels, attractions and tourism services across the emirate are operating normally despite regional travel disruptions. Authorities said hotels have been instructed to extend stays for guests unable to travel due to flight delays or restrictions, with costs covered by the tourism authority. Officials reported strong sector performance, with about 5.4 million hotel guests recorded during the first eleven months of last year and hotel revenues reaching Dh7.83 billion. The emirate currently has 172 hotel establishments offering more than 34,000 rooms. Authorities said the continued stability supports Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Strategy 2030 aimed at expanding visitor numbers and tourism infrastructure.
