LAHORE: Residents of Bamin Jhuggian, Union Council 25, are protesting after the sewerage system collapsed more than a week ago, leaving streets and homes surrounded by stagnant dirty water. Locals say the overflowing sewage has disrupted daily life, making it difficult for children to attend school and for elders to go to mosques. Despite multiple complaints to relevant authorities, no effective action has been taken. Protesters have demanded immediate repair of the drainage system and installation of new sewerage pipelines to prevent future crises and restore normal living conditions in the area.
