50% Construction Completed Under Lahore Development Program Phase-II

LAHORE: Under the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, development work under Lahore Development Program (LDP) Phase-II is progressing rapidly, with 50 percent of the construction already completed. The project is being implemented across three major zones of the city, including Wagah, Aziz Bhatti, and Allama Iqbal Town. Officials said that out of 290 kilometers of sewerage lines, 190 kilometers have been completed, while 170 kilometers of the 310-kilometer water supply network is also finished. Additionally, development work in 800 dependent streets has been completed and handed over to district administration, while WASA has completed work in 300 independent streets. Authorities confirmed that all remaining work under LDP Phase-II will be completed by April 30, 2026.
