The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation has approved a development plan worth Rs. 4.2 billion to rehabilitate and beautify four major traffic corridors in Karachi. The project was approved by Mayor Murtaza Wahab and includes Rashid Minhas Road, S.M. Taufique Road, Sir Shah Suleman Road, and Pehalwan Goth Road—key arteries handling heavy daily traffic. The scope of work includes complete road rehabilitation, resolution of sewerage issues, improved lane markings, upgraded traffic layouts, and the development of green belts along the corridors. Officials stated that tenders will be floated immediately to ensure timely execution, aiming to improve traffic flow, urban aesthetics, and overall commuting conditions across the city.
