WASA Faisalabad to Build City’s First Recharge Well

WASA Faisalabad has announced the construction of Faisalabad’s first-ever recharge well along with an underground water storage tank to improve rainwater drainage and help replenish groundwater levels. The recharge well will be developed on the Susan Road green belt, while the underground storage tank will be constructed near Faizan Madina Chowk. Officials stated that the project is aimed at ensuring faster disposal of rainwater ahead of the upcoming monsoon season, reducing the risk of urban flooding in surrounding areas. In addition to strengthening water management infrastructure, the initiative is expected to enhance city beautification by transforming Susan Road into a model green corridor. Authorities believe the project will contribute to long-term urban sustainability and improved civic services.
