Acting on the directions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, all departments are active in the field 24/7, using scientific methods to control air pollution. Authorities are mapping cross-border and industrial pollution through scientific tracking and expect noticeable improvement in the coming days.According to the Environment Department, although pollution inflow has risen, regulatory enforcement remains strict. Drone surveillance and ground teams have accelerated action against crop residue burning. Real-time data sharing, warning systems, and rapid response units have been strengthened, while smog control machinery, water bowsers, and inspection teams are on high alert across Lahore.Citizens—especially vulnerable groups—have been advised to limit outdoor exposure, use masks, drink more water, and seek medical help if experiencing breathing difficulties. Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb said Punjab is implementing the region’s most comprehensive anti-smog plan, and public cooperation will further improve conditions.
