Punjab Approves Construction of Two New Teaching Hospitals in Lahore

Lahore: The Punjab government has approved the construction of two modern teaching hospitals in Lahore at a total estimated cost of Rs 57.68 billion. An Infectious Diseases Hospital will be built on 18 kanals in Nawaz Sharif Medical District with a cost of Rs 34 billion, equipped with advanced treatment and research facilities. Additionally, Children Hospital-II will be developed at a cost of Rs 23.68 billion, along with a Center of Excellence for Nursing Education and Midwifery spread over 180 kanals. Officials said the projects aim to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and enhance medical and nursing education standards in the province.
