Petrol Price Increased by Rs 5 Per Litre, Diesel Also Gets Major Hike

Islamabad: The federal government has increased the price of petrol by Rs 5 per litre, raising it from Rs 253.17 to Rs 258.17 per litre. Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel has also been increased by Rs 7.32 per litre. The revised fuel prices have come into effect immediately. Officials stated that the adjustment reflects fluctuations in international oil prices and exchange rate pressures. The increase is expected to impact transportation costs, commodity prices, and overall inflation across the country, placing additional financial burden on consumers and businesses.
