OGDCL Discovers New Oil and Gas Reserves in Kohat’s Nashpa Block

Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has announced a significant discovery of oil and gas reserves in the Nashpa Block of Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.According to the company’s spokesperson, the Brazgai-1 well will produce an estimated 2,280 barrels of oil per day and 5.6 million cubic feet of gas per day.This marks the first hydrocarbon discovery from the Kingriali Formation in the block. The well was drilled to a depth of 5,170 meters, confirming commercially viable reserves that will enhance OGDCL’s production portfolio.OGDCL holds 65% operatorship in Nashpa Block, with PPL owning 30% and GHPL 5%.Officials emphasized that the new discovery will contribute significantly to meeting national energy demand and strengthening Pakistan’s indigenous energy resources.
