New Era of Pakistan–Saudi Infrastructure Cooperation Announced

Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has invited Saudi Arabia to invest in Pakistan’s key motorway and infrastructure projects, emphasizing the country’s potential as a growing logistics and transport hub. Meeting Saudi Transport Minister Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Aljasser at the Pakistan International Maritime Expo in Karachi, Aleem Khan proposed Saudi participation in the M-6 (Sukkur–Hyderabad), M-10 (Hyderabad–Karachi Port), and M-13 (Kharian–Rawalpindi) motorways, along with the Mansehra–Naran–Jalkhad–Chilas Road. He highlighted that Pakistan’s toll-based motorway system is financially sustainable and commercially attractive. The Saudi minister praised Pakistan’s initiatives and sought support in the upcoming IMO elections. Both countries reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation in transport, technology, and road safety under their broader strategic partnership framework.
