In Karachi, the price of LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) has increased by Rs. 40 to 50 per kilogram, causing concern among consumers. While the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has set the official price at Rs. 201 per kilogram, retailers in the city are selling LPG at Rs. 230 to 250 per kilogram.
Residents have criticized the lack of enforcement and urged the government to ensure compliance with official pricing to prevent exploitation. The sudden rise in LPG prices has added to household expenses amid already high energy and fuel costs. Citizens have demanded that the authorities take strict action against profiteers and restore prices to OGRA’s approved level to provide relief to the public.
