Under the “Suthra Punjab” vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Lahore district administration has intensified its anti-encroachment campaign across the city. Led by Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza, the operation aims to clear roads, restore pedestrian pathways, and eliminate visual pollution caused by illegal advertisements. In a single day, teams from the district administration, Metropolitan Corporation, and PHA removed more than 21,000 illegal promotional materials and cleared 598 encroachments from major commercial zones. The operation has significantly improved traffic flow and reopened footpaths for public use. The DC reaffirmed a zero-tolerance policy, ordering the immediate removal of unauthorized parking, sheds, and obstructions outside restaurants and cafés. He directed officers to remain continuously in the field and ensure that no encroachment reappears. Citizens can report violations via control room number 0307000234 or official social media channels.
