K-Electric Announces Planned Power Outages in Karachi on December 13

K-Electric has announced a planned power shutdown across parts of Karachi on December 13, 2025, as part of scheduled maintenance on electricity transformers. The utility confirmed that 49 feeders out of 2,129 will be affected at different locations across the city.According to K-Electric, maintenance work will take place between 8:00 AM and 6:30 PM, with affected areas experiencing temporary power outages ranging from 8 to 10 hours, depending on location.The company stated that the shutdown is necessary to improve system reliability and ensure smoother electricity supply in the long term. Residents in affected areas have been advised to plan their daily activities accordingly during the maintenance window.
