Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has initiated construction on a 2.7 kilometre stretch of Margalla Avenue to directly connect the capital with the Peshawar Motorway. Officials stated that the project is aimed at improving traffic flow, reducing congestion and cutting travel time for commuters travelling between Islamabad and motorway networks. The new link is expected to provide a smoother and faster route, particularly benefiting daily commuters and logistics movement. Authorities believe that enhanced connectivity will also boost economic activity and support urban expansion in surrounding areas. Once completed, the project will strengthen Islamabad’s road infrastructure and improve access to major highways.
