As part of the expansion, officials have approved another major flyover at Ammar Shaheed Chowk to address rising traffic congestion. The new structure, estimated at Rs. 3.45 billion, is expected to begin construction next year after final approval. Currently, one flyover and two underpasses are operational, while work continues on two flyovers and three underpasses. Three more underpasses are set to begin construction on December 20. The Nawaz Sharif Flyover, GPO Chowk underpass, and TMA Chowk underpass are already open. Additional projects at Kachehry Chowk, Jinnah Park, and Iftikhar Janjua Road are scheduled for completion between January 2026 and April 2026.
