Job Description
Communication and Works Department Government of the Punjab is inviting applications for the position of Senior Manager Health Facilities under the Strategic Planning Unit SPU. The role focuses on planning design coordination and technical oversight of public sector health facilities including hospitals medical colleges and specialized healthcare infrastructure to ensure functional efficiency safety and compliance with government standards.
Responsibilities
Overall supervision of Planning, designing scheduling progress, cost monitoring and preparing forecast related to Hospitals / Medical facilities.
Responsible for ensuring quality consciousness in all aspect of Hospitals / Medical facilities.
Ensure forward planning on all implantation aspect of project during execution phase and maintains management focus on projects coming under his preview.
Complete liaison with G.M Planning and Designing (Architecture) and Keep him updated about progress of projects.
Responsible to prepare weekly and monthly progress report after input from reporting heads.
Review and advice on the target plan for projects in project planning Software (Primavera Planner, MS Project etc.).
Mentoring the Progress of a project using plan as reference.
Updating the plan and preparing look ahead progress to forecast any bottle necks.
Selecting and approving the construction material required for Hospitals / Medical facilities.
Providing technical advice on various issue related to S.O. P’s of Hospitals / Medical facilities
Should be familiar with codes of practice for Hospitals such as ACI, AASHTO, and local design codes.
Liaising with the Client relevant professional staff.
Mentoring & inspecting work under taken by contractors and advice corrective measure if any.
Review and inspect environmental reports in Construction with reporting heads.
Visiting the site regularly to ensure no breach for design / specification criteria.
Attending the technical meeting with the stake holders.
Requirements
Minimum 16 years education in Architecture Civil Engineering or relevant discipline
At least 12 years relevant post qualification experience
Proven experience in planning or development of healthcare facilities
Strong understanding of public sector health infrastructure standards
Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary technical and health sector teams
