Job Description

Directorate General of Archaeology Tourism Archaeology and Museums Department Government of Punjab is inviting applications for the position of Project Director for the ADP project Preservation Restoration Improvement Management and Upgradation of World Heritage Site Taxila District Rawalpindi. The role requires a senior civil engineering professional to lead planning supervision and execution of project activities related to conservation development and management of the heritage site. The selected candidate will provide overall project leadership while ensuring compliance with technical standards approved plans and conservation priorities.

Responsibilities

Lead overall planning execution and management of the Taxila heritage project

Supervise development works and ensure compliance with approved specifications and standards

Coordinate with consultants engineers conservation experts and contractors

Monitor project progress timelines quality and documentation

Ensure technical oversight of site execution and development activities

Prepare progress reports and provide strategic recommendations for project delivery

Support conservation and protection of historical monuments and archaeological assets

Resolve project level technical and coordination issues in a timely manner

Requirements

Master degree in Civil Engineering or Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from HEC recognized university

Registered as Professional Engineer with Pakistan Engineering Council

Minimum 13 years experience with Bachelor degree or 10 years experience with Master degree

Experience in supervision of development projects preferred

Preference for candidates with experience in heritage management conservation of historical monuments and archaeological sites

Punjab domicile required
