The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is responsible for the planning and development of Islamabad Capital Territory. Established to implement the city’s master plan, CDA regulates land use, oversees building control, and develops public infrastructure, parks and civic amenities. The Authority manages estate and property records, conducts auctions and commercializations, and ensures orderly urban growth through zoning regulations. In coordination with federal and local bodies, CDA maintains roads, drainage and street lighting, while protecting Islamabad’s green character through extensive landscaping and conservation of natural corridors including the Margalla foothills and streams. CDA’s mandate centers on transparent service delivery, sustainable development and the timely execution of citizen-focused projects across the capital.
