The Walton Flyover Project by the Lahore Development Authority is a major infrastructure initiative designed to ease traffic congestion along Walton Road and its connecting routes. The flyover aims to provide a faster and uninterrupted traffic flow by separating through traffic from local movements, especially during peak hours. It supports smoother connectivity between Gulberg, Cantonment and Ferozepur Road while improving access to nearby residential and commercial areas.
The project includes the construction of an elevated roadway, approach ramps, improved intersections, drainage systems, street lighting and modern traffic management features. By lifting a major traffic load above ground level, the flyover reduces bottlenecks, improves safety and shortens travel time for daily commuters. It also helps streamline movement toward key city zones, business districts and densely populated neighborhoods.
