Punjab Affordable Housing Program is a World Bank-funded housing initiative being implemented by the Program Management and Implementation Unit to support the Government of Punjab in strengthening housing institutions, regulatory systems and affordable housing delivery across the province. The program focuses on expanding affordable housing options, improving PHATA’s institutional capacity and encouraging private sector participation through infrastructure investments and housing reforms.
The program includes legal and administrative reforms, housing information systems, beneficiary management systems, climate-resilient and energy-efficient infrastructure, and measures to improve housing affordability for low-income and vulnerable communities. It aims to increase the supply of sustainable affordable housing while improving transparency, planning standards and long-term housing governance in Punjab.
