Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute and Research Centre is a major healthcare and research facility developed in Lahore as a charity-based project. The institute has an initial planned capacity of 820 beds and is designed as a state-of-the-art center of excellence for clinical care, teaching and research in kidney, liver and bladder diseases. The facility focuses on advanced treatment including kidney and liver transplantation while ensuring access to free medical services for financially underprivileged patients.

The institute is developed on a land area of 50 acres in Lahore Knowledge City, located between DHA Phase 6 and Bedian Road. The facility is planned to be expandable up to 1,500 beds and includes a 100-bed emergency center, 100 bed intensive care unit, 100 bed outpatient dialysis facility, 500 bed inpatient facility, 20 operating rooms and 10 same day surgery suites. The project also includes a Hepatitis Prevention and Treatment Program clinic constructed on a steel frame structure, which has been completed and handed over to the client.

IDAP was assigned the responsibility of establishing this world class healthcare facility. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on August 14, 2015. Phase I of the project was completed on schedule and inaugurated on December 25, 2017. Under Phase I, 476 beds were provided along with major infrastructure, medical equipment procurement, radiological services and an energy center. The institute is currently operational and provides specialized healthcare services along with training for doctors, nurses and paramedics, while also supporting advanced medical research.
